On your own time, of course.

Good news! Your company wants you to develop new skills. The training is available. The future is bright. You’ll just need to find a few spare hours between your meetings, deadlines, and actual job.

A new survey from Workera found that access to AI-specific training has more than doubled since last year. Yet 56% of the 1,000 employees surveyed at large U.S. companies said they weren’t allocated time during work hours to develop those skills. Apparently, the next big productivity breakthrough is a longer Tuesday.

Thinking a little more broadly about employee development, making training available is only part of the job. Our employees need room to experiment, make mistakes, compare notes, and try again. Experience and experimentation are what turn information dumps into real world productivity.

Fortunately, we’ve seen many of our clients take the bold approach of providing their teams with dedicated time to play and learn using these tools.  Not only are we inspired, we’re “prompted” to develop even more.
